APA and China’s CCTV+ sign cooperation agreement

A cooperation agreement has been signed between Azerbaijan’s APA News Agency and China’s CCTV Video News Agency(CCTV+).

The News Services Agreement provides for the reciprocal exchange of news reports, video footage and other multimedia content between the two media organizations. It also envisages closer professional engagement, the sharing of expertise and the gradual expansion of cooperation into new areas.

CCTV+ is a China-based international video news agency with an extensive network of media partners worldwide. It supplies international media outlets with video news reports, live footage, multimedia materials and other editorial content covering developments in China and across the globe.

CCTV+ also serves as the Liaison Office of the Global South Media Partners mechanism,an initiative that seeks to promote the exchange of information and professional expertise among media organizations in different countries, strengthen international media ties and broaden global coverage of the development priorities of Global South nations.

The agreement establishes a framework for direct institutional relations and regular content exchange between APA and CCTV+. Under its provisions, the two agencies will share news and multimedia products, strengthen professional ties and pursue joint initiatives in emerging areas of cooperation.

The partnership is also expected to enhance APA’s international media engagement and expand its content-sharing capabilities. Cooperation with CCTV+ will create further opportunities for news and multimedia materials about Azerbaijan to reach wider international audiences. At the same time, it will give APA greater access to news footage and multimedia content covering China and other parts of the world.

The agreement between APA and CCTV+ is expected to contribute to closer ties between the Azerbaijani and Chinese media communities, facilitate the exchange of information and professional expertise, and advance media cooperation between the two countries.
